The heart of the Bull Skull sound isn’t bought off the shelf. Every pickup is wound by hand, for a specific guitar and a specific player.
Not from a catalogue
Made for your guitar, not for all of them.
Most guitars come with stock pickups, identical across thousands of instruments. Ours don’t. Vicent winds each set by hand with that wood, that weight and that tone you are after in mind. That is why no two Bull Skulls sound exactly alike.
What shapes the winding
The wood leads.
- The body wood and weight — a light ash does not ask for the same as a dense alder.
- How you play — the way you attack the string changes the response we aim for.
- The character you want — more vintage and open, or more nervous and direct.
What you get
A sound that responds.
Hand-wound, selected magnets and vintage materials (wire, bakelite, capacitors). The result: pickups with real dynamics, that react to your attack and your volume, and that age with you. Pure Bull Skull tone.
